As a filmmaker, photographer, and explorer, Taylor Rees seeks to create collaborative stories that deeply inspect ourselves, our relationships to other earthlings, and the ways that fresh ideas create new worlds we can step into.
Filmmaking is always a team effort. As a director, Taylor strives to foster a creative, inclusive yet focused energy that draws the best out of all involved, while shepherding narratives that take new and nuanced approaches to some of our most vexing social and environmental issues. Directing credits include Ashes to Ashes, featured by the New Yorker and winner of over 30 film festival prizes, including winning best short film at 5 Oscar qualifying festivals.
Taylors photographic work has appeared In National Geographic Magazine, The United Nations publications, and numerous commercial clients. She’s been a Sony Artisan of Imagery for 5 years.
